Thursday, 6th February 2025, at 6:00 PM, the Steinway & Sons Flagship Store in Milan will host the press conference presenting the third edition of International Symphony Composition Competition “Dante 700 – La dolce sinfonia di paradiso”.

Dr. Laura Moro, Editorial Director of Edizioni Curci and organizer of the initiative, will chair the event joined by distinguished guests: Dr. Barbara Boganini and Maestro Alberto Batisti from Camerata Strumentale di Prato, Maestro Paolo Cognetti from La Filharmonie, Maestro Francescantonio Pollice, Vice President of CIDIM, and Maestro Nima Keshavarzi, the music director of the competition.

The evening will continue with an exclusive recital by Italian-German pianist Marlene Fuochi, featuring a powerful program which includes the pieces by Francesco Darmanin and Michał Ziółkowski, winners ex aequo of the previous edition of Dante 700.

Dante 700 is a collaboration between Camerata Strumentale di Prato, La Filharmonie – Orchestra Filarmonica di Firenze, Tempo Reale, CIDIM, and Edizioni Curci, which will publish the winning composition. This initiative celebrates the connection between Dante Alighieri’s poetic genius and music, drawing inspiration from Canto XXXIII of the Divine Comedy and its famous final verse of the Paradiso: “The Love which moves the sun and the other stars”.
